The four wheel drive system, like so many others, has gone from being labor-intensive to turn-a-dial easy, while the interior has gotten cushier and quieter. Many features are now standard, including hill ascent and hill descent control, a five-speed automatic transmission, antilock brakes, traction control, and air conditioning. the optional V8, of course; the small V8 (4.7 liters) produces an impressive 270 horsepower (330 lb-ft of torque). Both the V6 and V8 use premium gas (91 octane).
